A timeless everyday bag woven by hand from natural palm fiber and finished with warm leather details. The Medium Palma Handbag has an easy, unfussy shape that feels equally at home running errands, heading to lunch, or packing for a weekend away.
Its smaller silhouette makes it light and comfortable to carry, while still leaving room for the essentials. The natural palm weave gives each piece its own subtle texture and variation, and the leather handles and snap closure add a polished finish.
Handwoven in Oaxaca by Isabel Hernández Arenas and her family workshop, where palm weaving has been passed from one generation to the next. Isabel learned the craft from her mother as a child in Santa María Texcatitlán, Oaxaca. Each bag is woven by hand, shaped and steamed for strength, then finished with leatherwork using skills brought to the family by her husband, whose family comes from the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca.
Because each piece is made entirely by hand, slight variations in weave, shape, leather and tone are to be expected. These small imperfections are part of the beauty of handmade work and a reminder of the hands and story behind every bag.

Care
Your Palma bag is made from natural palm fiber and genuine leather, so a little care will help it age beautifully.
Keep your bag dry and avoid prolonged exposure to water or moisture. If it does get wet, gently blot with a clean cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid direct heat or prolonged sun exposure, which can dry or fade the natural fibers and leather.
To clean the palm, use a soft, dry cloth or a lightly damp cloth for small spots. Do not soak or machine wash. For the leather, wipe gently with a soft cloth and use a leather conditioner sparingly as needed.
When not in use, store your bag in a cool, dry place and avoid crushing it under heavier items so it can maintain its shape.
Because each bag is handmade from natural materials, slight changes in color, texture, and shape over time are part of its character.
